How to make paints at home

Did you ever use some household items to make colors for painting or any other artistic work? No, here are some unique ideas.

let's dive in.

All of us have spices in our homes. Whenever we use them they create a splendid taste but you know when these type of spices fell on any fabric or a paper they create a stain which sometime become
irremovable which means that these items  have a good dye in it.

When spices can create some irremovable stains due to their some of the dying properties then why not these can be used in DIY paints.

SURPRISE........

On the other hand there are some household items which are directly, the dies such as laundry blue. Many of the painters use indigo powder in their painting techniques and this is the powder which is used in the laundry to improve the texture or the appearance of the fabric, here i am using this powder to make blue paint. To give the texture to your paint, you have to read the post till the end.

Now the matter is how to create the paints. So, here we are making DIY paints. Let's have some fun.

Material:

  • Black seeds
  • Tea leaves/powder
  • A fine texture fabric
  • A strainer
  • Laundry blue

How to make:

Grind the black seeds and tea leaves in fine powder as laundry blue is already in powder form so take it as it is.

1000
Now boil water for good seven to ten minutes.

Pour  powdered  of  require color in  it  and  let  it  simmer  for  five minutes  or  till  the  time  you  get  required  color.  Use  the double strainer  to  remove  any powder particles and also to get more even and fine textured color .

More the color, darker the shade. The shades can be made by adding water to this strained solution. Here are the liquid paints.

Now it's time to get texture of  paint. so, add flour to it. White flour is used in the kitchen to get the thickness of any liquid.

To get more artistic strokes  with  this paint you can add liquid glue to this mixture. It will make the paint thicker and also reduce its dry time.

Final remarks:

It is the final texture of black,, blue an brown paints. These can be use for any of  the paper or fabric paint.

Social concern:

Try to spread the colors of positivity to make the darker end , the brighter one.

Today's question:

Have you use laundry blue as paint ever before. let me know in the comment box.
